Description: The American Red Cross Lifeguarding program is a comprehensive program that includes videos, group discussion and hands-on practice. Participants will learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED. Upon successful completion, students will receive a 2-year renewable Lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid/AED certification that is valid for pool lifeguarding.

Safety Classes are open to UCI Students, ARC Members, and UCI Faculty & Staff. Registration takes place at Campus Recreation Services, located on the 2nd floor of the ARC, or may be done over the phone at (949)824-3738.
