Capri 1 (Beg Sail)
This is where you start! No experience necessary... learn basic sailing using our 14' sailboats, the Capri's. Combine dockside lectures, demonstrations, and lots of on the water sailing. These dinghies are sailed with up to 3 participants per boat and sail within the protected waters of Newport Harbor. This class is a pre-requisite for Capri 2. |

Capri 2 (Adv Beg Sail)
Emphasis on practical sailing skills, efficient sail trim, balance, safety and control. Includes a solid review of the basics from Capri 1 and lots of "tiller time". This class is a good way to refresh your skills or prepare for your "Capri Skipper Rating" test. Pre-requisite is Capri 1. Upon completion of this class, participants usually are ready to take Capri Racing or Keelboat 1. |

Capri Plus
This is a class for those who have taken Capri 1 and 2 (or equivalent) and just want some additional supervised sailing and practice in the Capri's. Also a good class for those who previously had a rating and need a bit of a refresher before they take the boats out on their own. Note: current Capri skippers may attend for extra practice with permission of the instructor. |

Flying Juniors (Int Sail)
These 2 day clinics will help you learn to sail high performance racing sailboats! Much faster than a Capri. FJ's are the 2 person racing dinghies used by the UCI Sailing Team. Energetic, and exciting! Work towards being able to take out a FJ on your own. Pre-requisite Capri 1, Capri 2 or equilivant experience. Upon completion, participants may take more intermediate classes. |

Keelboat 1 (Int Sail)
This class will be using our new J 22 keelboats. You will learn how to apply your sailing skills to sailing on these exciting boats. Lots of new things to learn on these boats.Pre-requite: Capri 2 or Capri rating or equilivant |

Keelboat 2 (Adv Sail)
This class will also use the J 22 sailboats and will give those with some keelboat expereince a chance to get familar with these new boats and increase your skills. Pre- requisite Keelboat 1 or equilivant. Upon completion, participants may take Keelboat 3 and Keelboat 4. |

Keelboat 3 (Adv Sail)
This class emphasizes sailing the J22;s outside the harbor. Gives you a good chance to get experience soling in the ocean. Includes sailing in waves and chop, as well as orientation to our local coast. Designed for those working toward a J 22 rating and need time outside the harbor. This class usually meets for 3 days, for 4 .5 hours per session. Class is usually offered in the winter and spring. |

Keelboat 4 (Adv Sail)
This class introduces you to spinnakers. Learn to set gybe and sail with these exciting sails. Primarily taught within the harbor. Class emphasizes teamwork and basic skills for sailing with the spinnakers. In addition to regular classes, small group classes can be arranged. Pre-requisites are Keelboat 2. Class is usually offered in the summer and fall. |

Keelboat Light (Int Sail)
This is a class for those who have had Keelboat 2 and want to sail in a more relaxed class. Good for those who enjoy sailing the J 22's but do not have a rating and just want to enjoy the class environment. Also a good refresher for any keelboat rated skipper. Class is usually offered in the spring and summer. |
