Dockside Seminar for Crews
FREE! This dockside lecture will really focus on techniques for those crewing in the harbor races. This is a chance to ask questions and understand what the skippers are telling you, without the pressure of being on the race course. This is a valuable experience to skippers as well - to help you work more efficiently with crew members.
Summer Racing Tune-Up
The class is required for any current J4 skipper that wants to skipper in the summer evening races, is usually offered each spring. We will get you ready for the fast pace, congested harbor races starting in May. Emphasis will be on starting and tight maneuvering. Prerequisite: Skippers must be approved and crew need to have keelboat experience, preferably some racing.
Ocean Sailing Seminar
This classroom class will cover a lot of information needed to sail outside of the harbor. It is a great preparation for those getter the J-Ocean rating. Topics include: chart rating, tides, local knowledge, emergency situations and more.
