On Monday February 29th approximately at 4:00pm a fire sprinkler head broke in Main Gym, leading to the discharge of the fire sprinkler system onto court 3. This resulted in significant flooding of both courts 3 and 2. Our Operations team, OCFA and Facilities Management responded quickly to shut the fire sprinkler system down, and efforts were made to remove the standing water from the affected areas. In an effort to salvage courts 2 and 3, Facilities wasted no time in enlisting the help of a restoration company. Despite their best efforts, the remediation process revealed that a substantial amount of water, approximately 880 gallons, had seeped underneath the main gym flooring, causing irreparable damages.

After careful assessment, it has been determined that the flooring must be replaced. We are currently collaborating closely with Facilities Management to expedite the replacement process and restore the flooring.
