EXPERIENCE

I have years of experience in strength and conditioning, weight-loss, calisthenics (bodyweight training) and high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
I participated in an intensive year long program at UCLA Extension for fitness instruction. During my time there I took various courses in Exercise Physiology, Anatomy and Biomechanics, Sports Nutrition, Fitness Testing and Exercise Prescription, that have broadened my understanding of fitness and wellness.
With my background I am able to help my clients create SMART goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time based; and I help them achieve their goals through individualized programming that focuses on progressive overload.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Balance Training - Resistance Training - Plyometric (Reactive) Training - High Intensity Interval Training - Weight loss/ fat loss

INTERESTS

I’ve always loved participating in competitive sports and living an active lifestyle. In high school I competed in both basketball and track and field. Later in college I started to focus more on individual performance and athletic training.

Helping people reach their goals! During my undergrad years I was introduced to powerlifting and weightlifting, which helped me realize that fitness can be achieved in many fun ways. Whether you prefer to train with a team, individually, for strength or endurance, personalized programming can help you improve.

Travel! Growing up I studied in three different countries Taiwan, Canada, and the US. Because of this I really enjoy going to new places and exploring the different landscapes and cultures that they have to offer.

PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

I utilize researched based training methods to create efficient and effective long-term programs. By focusing on performing good form and technique, I help people minimize their risk of injury, while teaching them practical skills they can later perform independently.

My goal is not only to help you reach your goals but to leave you with an everlasting understanding of what an active lifestyle can do for you. The psychological benefits of exercise can help you improve your mood, reduce your stress, and create intrinsic motivation in your endeavours.

Fitness is about training your body and your mind to be strong and confident. I can help you train both while having fun.
