Being a First-Generation College student, Erik has been successful in his education, making the Dean’s list numerous times.
Erik has been involved in the realm of health and fitness for as long as he could remember and considers himself a lifelong athlete. He has also previously been involved in professional relevant projects including working with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as part of CSUF’s Tactical Research Team and has also been fortunate enough to be involved with the Anaheim Ducks preseason testing, working with professional athletes.
Erik’s interests include everything movement-based. His specialty includes muscle hypertrophy and strength training. When he’s outside the gym, he is either taking a walk down the beach, on a hike, listening to relevant podcasts expanding on his expertise and education, or out adventuring what the world has to offer looking through the lens of a camera.
From a coach’s perspective, Erik believes in versatility and educating others. Erik believes a good coach will fundamentally understand both the art of coaching, and the scientific principles of training that underlie human movement and the basis of performance.
